Hi Harry, gotcha and thanks for the workaround. I do think it's a deficiency that needs to be addressed. I can understand the desire for fewer knobs for the login screen, but try booting a laptop surreptitiously during a talk and enduring the nasty stares. Like having your cell phone ringer on in the movie theater. :)
