As Philip pointed out, your user on the client side is a member of more
than 16 groups, which runs into a protocol limitation in NFSv3. This is
not a bug in nfs-utils, which is simply implementing the protocol. To
use accounts with more than 16 groups, you would need to migrate to a
different protocol without this limitation - CIFS is one option, NFSv4
is another.
