I'm having a different problem and will most likely create a new bug. I am able to run the crontab -e command once, and only once, before my ssh connection hangs and eventually drops me. The process is still running on the box. I don't see any segfaults, actually I see nothing in the syslog. I've ensured privs are correct and can verify the cron is in proper format. Same release same cron version.
