Upon further testing... De-capitalization and using correct conjugation for non-abbreviated month titles brakes appearance of month names in other locations, where the word used standalone. For example, calendar applet itself. Since I do not know all underlying details, like whether it is possible to use some kind of logical selection for proper date representation, I guess the fix of issue with months is not so straightforward.
For abbreviated month titles and weekdays looks OK, although further testing is needed.
