If your root filesystem is ext4, it will check *very fast*
You confirm that your root filesystem is ext4.
Even a forced check of an ext4 filesystem takes hundreds of
milliseconds, rather than the weeks you might be used to with ext3.
There's no direct boot-time equivalent of the thorough check with ext4.
If you add an ext3 filesystem, you'll note that /forcefsck does work as
you expect.
