Colin,

I have attached kern.log after booting using your debug kernel with the
camera plugged in during boot. Again, it worked in cheese.

For what it's worth, I am still using the same hardware that I was in
the previous comments, however I did do a clean OS installation prior to
posting this comment due to another issue. I am still running Ubuntu
9.10 beta with all the latest updates and I am still seeing the same
problem with the camera.
