I'm getting that awful loud buzzing sound also when ever I: back space to start of any line (including navigation bar in firefox); with Skype on initiating call; when ever sound preferences is initiated; short buzz on turning off computer. Dell Studio 15, Karmic 2.6.31-14-generic-pae kernel. This is a new behavior.
