Right, pressing a backspace button in terminal is even a simpler way to
reproduce it.
** Description changed:
Binary package hint: pulseaudio
- I use Karmic beta. After today's updates I've lost my sound completely.
- Restart doesn't help. Stopping pulseaudio deamon and starting it again
- doesn't help, too. No system sound, no Mplayer sound, no Amarok sound.
+ I use Karmic beta. When I installed it, sound and microphone worked
+ correctly. Now I do have sound in various apps, but no working
+ microphone no system sounds - instead of the latter I only hear an
+ unpleasant buzz.
- The only thing I can get from my speakers is an unpleasant single buzz
- each time I use [Tab] in a terminal when it has to propose me more than
- 1 solution (e.g. I have /etc/fstab and /etc/fstab~ files - when I type
- /etc/fsta[Tab], I get this sound).
+ I have also noticed that this buzz sound doesn't reflect current volume
+ - sound in apps follows these settings; this particular sound is always
+ the same loud.
- Any solution (or at least temporary workaround)? I like listening to
- music. :)
+ A simple way to reproduce it is to enter a terminal window and press
+ backspace.
