Just curious if you are able to reproduce this with the latest 2.6.31-14
kernel? It has some stable kernel updates applied from upstream. If
the issue remains, do you notice any sort of kernel oops/panic happen
when the system does hang? From your description it sounds like it'll
hang for a short interval and then continue on? It'd be good to try to
capture your dmesg output after you experience one of these hangs.
