I don't see any messages on the console ttys, but messages are continuously 
being added to kern.log.

In addition, cards such as a Netgear WG511T wireless card aren't even
recognized by lspci, while this card in particular works under 9.04
(running from a live CD), and worked previously under 9.04 when it was
installed on this laptop.
