Thanks for your quick response Mat. The default was the first I've tried. I thought I had tried everything, but I overlooked post #23 about the FRITZ!Box that I have as well. The solution mentioned there works for me too !!
I don't understand the logic behind it, the FRITZ!Box already knows the MAC address (from the nic itself, I guess).
