Hello Ivan, I am not using Ubuntu, but I decided to subscribe to this bug since I have exactly the same problem here. For what it's worth, this bug that you pointed does not represent the same problem. The problem there is that the wifi driver does not load, while here the driver loads, but we can't bring the interface up.
