I've told you all this to help you reproduce the problem - always helps to be able to test you fix if you can do this.
I got this error message or something very similar after I clicked a display configure icon & selected left for the display - the whole display was now turned anticlockwise 90 degrees and a message box appeared counting down from say 20 say do I want to keep this display BUT before this message appeared I had already pressed the display configure icon once more. I then used this second form to choose normal this time & click apply (or was it OK) and that corrected the screen back to how it was. Meanwhile the first do you want to keep this look appeared / go back to the previous look appeared - I pressed go back to the previous look, then the second do you want to keep this look appeared & I pressed YES -- so all was Ok, then I right clicked the icon & selected remove icon & at that point a warning icon appears and this error message - so as requested I sent it to the programmers. Otherwise this error message has not led to any problem I have noticed. Basically I think what is wanted is to prevent 2 or more display config forms being open at once - hence preventing conflicts between the outcomes of selecting 2 or more different settings in them. -- WARNING: at /build/buildd/linux-2.6.31/drivers/gpu/drm/i915/i915_gem_tiling.c:517 i915_gem_set_tiling+0x1b1/0x1c0 [i915]() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/463699 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
