Sorry that you feel you wasted time filling a bug there and theorically ubuntu users should open bugs in launchpad and triagers should send those upstream, the issue is that desktop components got over a thousand comments during this weekend and there is no way we can deal with a such flood with the current team working on those; we can maybe look to 15% of those, which means we have to select the one we can work on and let user go upstream for other issues if they want to do this work. Your issue is a minor one and doesn't qualify as a priority for something we work on so it will sit there until somebody care enough to pick it and send to the hackers writting the software
