Hi again, Placing the firmware image manually to /usr/firmware (as described here: http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-241431.html) solved the firmware load issue for me. Now I can correctly scan for channels with the scan command (kaffeine doesn't work, it displays the DVB device but says "Device is not connected" - but this I suppose is Kaffeine issue), and can watch the channels with mplayer.
