I'm not sure we really want to be doing this.
As it would cause Bug 476170 , where the greyscale icon would now popup in the 
end and the order of monochrome and greyscale icons would become 
inconsistent/random.

There is a fixed slots for system service in gnome-shell and , There already is 
a bug and patch upstream for gnome-panel >

Maybe nautilus progress-info and the policy-kit icons also should also get a 
slot.

Those interested in this bug could bring this up in the upstream gnome-
panel bug...
