yes, it is reproducible... i'm sorry but i wasn't clear in my post. by ejecting, i meant ejecting directly by pushing the drive button. so the problem only occours when i remove the disc by open the drive. if i right-click on the cd icon in nautilus and select "eject", the problem doesn't show up. is this enough for you to reproduce the problem? should i try to send you a nautilus log? and if so, how can i do that? vince
