WeatherGod,  That seems to work.  I get this a lot when I have several tabs 
open and it freezes then I quit and startup again.  Since I already have an 
error message saying that some site is not responding I guess it is a force 
quit, but, I don't know how to force quit in Linux, so maybe not?  That is not 
the only time it happens though, I can just quit and restart and it happens.  
That's what makes it repeatable no matter what the circumstances.  With 
3GBs RAM I should not be running short.  Seldom have anything else 
running at the time.

After quiting firefox 3.5 I decided to start it up again and I got an error 
firefox is running please quit the running application before starting firefox. 
 No sign of the application inthe task bar or anywhere on my desktop.   
Restarted computer to get back to this page.
