Can you do the following: 1. boot into the Ubuntu kernel with apparmor enabled, then let it hang for a little while (the kernel should be logging messages during this time) 2. shutdown the machine and boot into the Ubuntu kernel with apparmor disabled (ie add 'apparmor=0' to the kernel command line) 3. attach /var/log/kern.log to this report
This will hopefully give us the information needed to see what is going on.
