Update: I can no longer reproduce this in anything except FF for Ubuntu 64-bit 9.10, though that may just be because some machines are no longer available to me. I need triaging on this for it to proceed; can anyone with 9.10 64-bit check this out? There is helpful info in the upstream bug, including test cases from Globalsign.
