@Manuel,
i just read in the internet that your webcam sonic (my msi has a bison..) has
some trouble in other linux - distris. Nevertheless try the following (clear
you use carmic):
type in terminal:
please look at terminal and type : uname -r
to check that the selfmade kernel is working and not the normal one.
sonic needs the uvcvideo as well...uvcvideo berlioz site says that your cam is
working for:
0c45:62c0 Sonix USB 2.0 Camera (Acer Aspire 5050 and HP Pavilion DV6000
notebooks) Sonix Technology
0c45:62e0 MSI Starcam Racer Sonix Technology
try this :
start cheese from terminal (if there are errors it will showed up in terminal )
1. start cheese go to settings and look if your cam is recognized under
/dev/video0 or 1
next try is to low down solution
If it's not ok post it.
2. type in terminal
"gstreamer-properties"
and choose the v4l instead v4l2 or vice versa see under video settings of
gstreamer-properties. Check it with cheese. But i think there is little hope.
start cheese from terminal again ...
change Video Output from automatic to X11/xshm...
If nothing help go back to native settings.
3. check with Fn + F6 and lsusb if you can enable or disable the cam.
That has to function and our udelay works if not than my debs are not working.
4. You didn't forget to take uvcvideo from the blacklist, did you?
If nothing of the above suggestions help, try to compile your own kernel
with udelay 500. See #126
cheers
