@ALL: Since i tried to recompile the gnome-power-manager (which didn't solve the prob) i come back to the roots. Now i don't have the flicker anymore.
How? I additional installed the linux-image-pae . Pae stands for the nx - support. Mostly of the books have it. So do my netbook msi wind u100 lux. . i deinstalled the generic linux headers but installed the linux-headers-generic-pae. Restart. Back in gnome i add to the upper paner the brightness-panel. That i can control with the mouse. I tried it several times dimming up and down; no probs yet. I tried it also with Fn + F5 (brightness up) and the prob appears again. Ok. Thats for the developer - it must be key prob. But for me now i'm happy to end the brightness prob for my netbook. cheers -- brightness is broken on MSI WIND U100 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/415023 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdebase-workspace in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
