After a long time trying to find a solution to this problem, I decided to come back to Ubuntu 9.04. I think it's a serious problem and they maked a big mistake releasing Ubuntu 9.10 without fixing it before. Even if u can stand the problem with some workaround such as alt+f1, or alt+tab, I think its annoying to do it every time power-manager activates and the flickering starts. Turning off the kernel modeset was a nightmare, the performance of my msi reduced to a half... so well, no Ubuntu for me and for the million of persons around the world with an MSI I guess, so sad.
