I think there's a widespread related bug where the sound is distorted all the time - does anyone know where this is? It's been popping up in the forums (http://swiss.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=8099760, http://swiss.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=8099760, http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1307019) for a few weeks now, but nobody seems to have a solution.
