I have the same issue with an HP DL350 G5 server that installs ok but won't boot. I am struggling though as to how to go about editing Grub.
I have been to the boot/grub folder and can open and edit grub.cfg but have no idea what to change. I have looked in the dev folder and see no reference to cciss or anything like that.
