Same issue if I try to read directly a dvd inserted with totem. But if I open totem manually and then try to read my dvd, the error message is more smart: it says that I don't have the correct plugin and invite me to visit: http://projects.gnome.org/totem/#codecs , where I understand I should install libdvdcss.
