On further testing; I am unable to successfully associate my USB-N11 to any network using either the Plasma network thing in Kubuntu 9.10/AMD 64; or WICD in Kubuntu 10.04/x86. Scanning for networks works; but authenticating with the WPA2-PSK network fails -- with a failure to obtain an IP address. (If it is of any relevance, WICD is configured to use wext.)
So to sum up: the patch does what is is supposed to do (make the kernel recognize the hardware and use the appropriate driver) but it seems the combination of driver + device + tools does not sum to “just works”... -- Missing hardware signatures for driver/module rt2870sta https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/482475 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
