I still get the occasional delay after a keypress if I've been using the remote a lot, maybe a second or two. I think with my previous setup the remote would have stopped working at that point, with the extra memory and CPU it just gives me a slight delay. With my previous setup if the remote froze I would sometimes ignore it and several minutes later it would respond. I think in my case the hardware was insufficient as opposed to incompatible. Like I said, it was tricky to spot since the video playback was always perfect. Strangely enough though, my temporary workaround was to jump on my desktop and login with remote desktop or SSH. Simply connecting and disconnecting would do the trick. Even with remote desktop in read only it would fix the problem. For example I would hit pause, nothing happens, I jump on the desktop and connect with remote desktop or SSH and the mythtv frontend would mysteriously pause and all was well.
