Same problem on 9.04 - running from a command line I can see a bit more info:
$ gnome-open /tmp/mozOpenDownload/gdocs_1.9.0.oxt ** (soffice:4825): WARNING **: unable to get gail version number [Java framework]sunjavaplugin.so could not load Java runtime library: file:///usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.10/jre/lib/amd64/server/libjvm.so. I do not have /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.10 - instead I have /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.16 ; not sure why OpenOffice is dependent on a specific version of Java 6. I resolved this with a simple hack: sudo ln -s /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.10 -- could not create java implementation loader https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/474320 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
