I really only have this problems with kernels greater than 2.6.31-4.
Even 2.6.32 isn't able to mount the root filesystem.

I don't think it's a configuration problem but rather some filesystem-
change or similiar. I am using ext4 btw. Have been using Karmic sind
Alpha 6
