Just wanted to let you guys know. I installed the newest 195 Beta drivers from the Nvidia page. I followed the this guide -> http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=990978 and uninstalled the 180 drivers first. It actually works. The screen flickering is gone. I have been using this for like 25min now. No problems so far. Read the bug fix and new features the newer drivers provide - very nice. So, I will not be opening a new bug report, because the new drivers fix this known issue. I had a problem with netbook-launcher as well. It was always using up 100% while using it on my laptop with the older 180 drivers ( I know, it is meant for netbooks, but I like it on my "big" screen, like a media center ). This seems to be fixed now, too.
