The only thing that smplayer does when the option "disable screensaver"
is checked, is to pass the option -stop-xscreensaver to mplayer.

So check if -stop-xscreensaver is really passed to mplayer (you can see
it in the mplayer log: Options -> View logs). If that option is not
passed then it's a bug in smplayer. Otherwise it's a problem of mplayer.

Anyway it's a known problem that recent versions of mplayer fail to
disable the gnome screensaver. For that you have to use the -heartbeat-
cmd (and even that may not work).
