I had the same problem. It looks as if ppd file section "JobPatchFile 1" is not handled by the initial ps to pdf filtering. When I removed the lines in the Xerox ppd file between the lines *JobPatchFile 1: " and *End then everything worked. I also had to use the lpd:// interface rather than socket:// in cups otherwise I was getting "broken pipe" messages. I haven't checked the other interfaces (ipp, http, etc.) but this one works well.
Everything now appears to be OK, but I have no way of checking if removing the section of the ppd file affects CIE. I also noticed a comment in the logs "GPL Ghostscript 8.70: Set UseCIEColor for UseDeviceIndependentColor to work properly." but I need to dig deeper to check the relevance of this. -- Cups filter problem: "/usr/lib/cups/filter/pstopdf failed" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/492817 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
