@Paul: The machine I use is a desktop PC without a PCI wifi card. However, given the nature of this problem, a deadlock situation can very well be the source of this problem. This would explain why the system is completely nonreactive without any error messages. Could the system just been waiting??
@sudour: If your system is working well, except for sound, this is not the same problem. In my case, nothing works anymore. The screen and sound are both 'frozen'. By the way, it also happens when there is no music playing. In the meantime, this is a very debilitating problem, so any suggestions are appreciated. I have updated everything to the latest versions. Still the problem persists. -- Ubuntu 9.10 Freezes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/491280 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
