Sorry, I should add that I am using an ASUS EeePC 4G with the built-in internal microphone running Ubuntu Karmic and Pulseaudio.
Is there a way I can "factory reset" Pulseaudio and then have Ubuntu "rescan-reconfigure" my soundcard? I have another open bug somewhere here on this very i9ssue too.
