Thanks Zahari, Unfortunately I do not understand sip very well so it is kinda not clear for me why ekiga does not work all of a sudden.
Please, note, that I can no more connect to my ekiga account (right after the upgrade). Yes, ekiga is pretty straightforward and nice. Although, the way gnome applications are configured, I think is a "minus" (through the gconf-editor). I would prefer editing a file the old unix way. I had had linphonec working for me very well. It does now. I can connect to my voipcheap account using linphone-3.
