I can confirm this. It only seems to occur when visual effects are enabled in Gnome. For me this happens with Virtualbox 3.1.0 hosting a Lucid guest (daily build). The mouse cursor becomes invisible as soon as the window manager is loaded, however it is still functional in that the desktop responds to the mouse moving around. Disabling visual effects brings the cursor back. Even then the system is unstable and frequently locks up.
The vbox mouse driver also seems to have some issues as it doesn't allow for running without "mouse capture" like it should. I've tried the bundled guest additions as well as the version in the repository. My guess is that these are all virtualbox issues but I figured it wouldn't hurt to have some clarity on this bug. -- Lucid Lynx alpha in a virtual box -with normal 3d settings no misc https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/495182 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
