It seems that you're using sysv-rc 2.86.ds1-38+etchnhalf.1 which is not
provided by an official Ubuntu repository. Could you please install the
version available for hardy ( 2.86.ds1-14.1ubuntu45.1 ) . I'm closing
this report since it is not a supported configuration, don't hesitate to
reopen if it's still an issue after updating your system. Thanks.
