Hello. I have a 3g modem zte mf100, and am experiencing exactly the same issues as above. When I plug the modem, I have to kill modem-manager, in order that my connection in network manager becomes available (or reboot computer). Details: Ubuntu 9.10 (karmic) kernel: 2.6.31-17-generic network-manager: 0.8~rc2~git.20100108t192339.a74e2cf modemmanager:0.2.git.20100112t172936.a4fee86
Should I open a new bug for this? I am sure it is the same issue as above. Thanks.
