You can alleviate damages by activating "Force synchronization between X and GLX" in Compiz settings. I can use Firefox and File Manager, problem persist in Evince (not Adorbe Reader), Gedit and Openoffice (even if here scrolling works fine). This kind of issues are present in Mutter too, so I think that it's definitely nvidia fault.
