I haven't had a lockup for a month but I'm not sure it's actually fixed or not. I've done two things since the last lockup that might have increased the stability of my system.
1.) A couple of days after my last lockup, I upgraded my hard disk to a larger one. There was nothing wrong with the old one, as far as I know, I just needed more space. I never got any errors on the old disk and I ran smartctl on it a two days ago and got no errors. 2.) When I installed my new disk I also installed openSUSE 11.2 and I've been running that ever since. -- Hard lockups with new kernels https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/475010 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
