Thank you for your fast response! I have reviewed your posts on that bug and have decided to give your xorg ppa update a try. I added that repo and added those 16 packages you listed...reboot went fine ( everything still works :P ) and I will see how long this box runs without a lockup. I am still searching for a definitive answer and if I find anything I will let you and that bug thread know. Have a good weekend.
