Upgraded to Karmic and tried to replicate the bug for a week, but nothing.. it seems that it has disappeared. I will try for another week or so, with a different mix of mails before calling it off. There is another problem in Karmic - Evolution seems to crash on bulk folder move, but that's a different story. I have also found that the built-in spam is rather aggressive, so that a lot of innocent mails end up in the junk folder..
