OK... it looks like the relevant alignment fixup patches are in there.

CONFIG_THUMB2_KERNEL is for building the kernel itself in Thumb-2. That
may not work out of the box; I suggest you don't try that for now. It
shouldn't be related to the problem you're having.

Did you get anywhere finding which binary the fault is happening in?
