Re: Tony Espy, 504543 #2
If nm fails to connect, is there any way to get it to preserve the old key?
1. Sorry I don't remember. Having to re-enter a key would have been
inconvenient too. I use the full length WEP key.
2. No, my AP isn't hidden, but I increased the interval for the broadcast of
the id so I'm guessing sometimes it doesn't show up in scans.
3. Glad to hear Connect to Hidden was fixed in Lucid. Is there a SRU planned? I
can likely wait for Lucid.
Thanks for the reminder about closed source. I didn't see any related
known problems. Closed or not, it's nice to have the bugs filed. If I
missed an upstream location that needs some separate steps, please let
me know.
I'd be happier if nm was system wide capable. I'd like connections to
start before I log in, and be configurable/monitored by any
administrator users no matter who else is logged in or what order they
logged in. Perhaps nm isn't the right solution.
Thanks,
Drew Daniels
