Same Problem with nautilus 1:2.28.1-0ubuntu3 installed:
Nautilus get an segfault on opening of the preferences dialog:
r...@ros-laptop:/mnt/img/home/ros$ tail /var/log/messages |grep nautilus
Feb 11 09:40:32 ros-laptop kernel: [ 5669.107221] nautilus[5048]: segfault at 4
ip 050a8fb0 sp bfff4b80 error 4 in libpython2.6.so.1.0[5038000+1ef000]
May bee this is an new bug or the same.
