Let's stay true to *nix philosophy, please.  Simple tools that work
together, but that do their job well.  There are already clean-up tools.
If update-manager runs into a low disk space situation it should give
usable, clear-cut advice and instructions (bug 523004), but point to
other tools for more complex tasks.

The points raised by Jani are helpful observations and valid.  I think
they should mostly be fixed elsewhere, though, IMHO.
