I am a new Linux/Ubuntu user, about three months into it now, and I've just installed Ubuntu on my wife's computer in a dual-boot with Windows Vista for her to try it out. We have the same problem on her computer. A bit odd? Perhaps there's a problem with the install disk? I used the same disk for both installation. I'm throwing that in just because it's a possibility?
