I'm afraid I'm still experiencing the problem. I'm also filling out an additional (possibly related?) bug report - when I went to check the version of yelp at the Ubuntu Software Centre (btw yelp is definitely 2.29.5-0ubuntu2 on my system), USC crashed unexpectedly! Oh well... there's always something to be done...
