Okay. Problem solved. The issue was resolved by:
(1) Uninstalling OpenOffice via Synaptic (2) Uninstalling Bonager. This was a bit of a bear - should've been unistalled BEFORE I install jaunty (from Intrepid). In any case these commands did the trick: sudo update-rc.d -f bonager remove sudo rm /etc/init.d/bonager sudo dpkg --purge bonager For me this solved the bug. -- "update-manager -c -d" command fails to upgrade 9.10 to 10.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/531470 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
